Vatech Sensor unable to aquire images into Dexis when bridge from Dentrix; when the
workflow starts in Dentrix due to a “missing” driver.
- Dentrix chart is opened, a bridge is initiated to open Dexis
- EzSensor does not work.
- If Dexis is opened stand alone, the EzSensor will work normally. \
Verify the Sensor is installed
Solving Driver Error in Dexis when Bridging from Dentrix
- Navigate to C:\Windows\twain_32\VATWAIN\
- Copy the two containing fils; typically 'EzTWAIN.ds and FreeImage.dll'
- Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Dentrix\
- Paste the two files from the VATWAIN folder as shown previously into this directory.
- Configure the Dexis application to see the by clicking the 'Gear' Icon with in Dexis, then select the
DEXray tab.
- Under Scanner Choose Intraoral USB Sensor
Please note, this example is seen in Version 9 of Dexis. Perform this step for
both the stand alone Dexis launch and the launch of Dexis via Dentrix.
