Ez3D-i: Endo or other Tabs freezing - Settings and Nvidia GPU Driver Rollback for 3D Software

Updates to NVIDIA Driver environments released during 2025 has caused some customers to have problems with some 3D applications; which not only affect some Vatech 3D software functions or features but also other 3D Software in the marketplace.

The following symptoms may be present due to GPU setting or driver. 

  • Endo Tab Freezing 
  • TMJ Tab Freezing 
  • Section Tab Freezing 

1. Conditions of Occurrence
    Graphic model:
    - Quadro series RTX graphics cards (A series, T series)
    For reference, there is no issue with Geforce series graphics cards.

    Graphics driver:
    - The issue occurs in driver environments released 2025.

2. Workaround

Run NVIDIA Control Panel → Manage 3D Settings → Global Settings → Set Global Preset to “3D App - Game Development” and click the Apply button.

Note: The “Global Preset” feature is not provided in NVIDIA GTX/RTX environments, only in lineups such as Quadro.

3. In the event the Work around does not work; simply roll back the driver to version. 

It is highly recommended that a certified I.T. consultant follows the guide to uninstall and roll back the GPU driver to NVIDIA Driver Version 550

  • It is currently recommended by NVIDIA to uninstall the current NVIDIA Driver & Software fully using Add/Remove Programs. Locate Add & Remove Programs / Apps  by typing 'Add and remove' in windows search and selecting
  • Once in Add and Remove programs and apps you can locate the Nvidia driver and Uninstall by clicking the ... and selecting Uninstall, follow the prompts (Restart might be required). 
  • Download and install this NVIDIA Driver Version 550 by running the installer as normal and following the prompts to install. 
     
  • Please block have a certified I.T. consultant block the GPU driver updates at this time until NVIDIA releases a working driver.
